In the Uglies, Tally Youngblood is a typical ugly. She has no extra priviliges and is accounted as normal. Which in this world, is ugly. She is adventurous and brave with skills that can only be developed. Tally is looking forward to her sixteenth birthday, not for her party, but so she can have the operation that turns her into a bubblehead (aka pretty).
